A. Budget has thousands of locations worldwide. Currently, the Australian web site will only accept reservations within Australia. For reservations outside Australia, there is a list providing links to many Budget websites for other countries. If you do not find the country you require on the list provided please call 13 27 27, or your local Budget office.
A. We provide a wide range of utes, vans and trucks for rental via our Budget Trucks website - www.budgettrucks.com.au. In order to access our Budget Truck site simply type www.budgettrucks.com.au in your web browser or select the truck tab found in the menu of our site. For all other vehicles please call 13 27 27 for information and reservations.
A. Our vehicle make and model is based upon availability. Upon arrival please advise the counter representative of your preference. If available, we will be happy to accommodate your preference.

A. You can change or cancel a reservation at any time via our website – www.budget.com.au. Simply select the View / Change / Cancel booking option within the 'Quotes & Bookings' section of our website, enter your reservation number and last name, and proceed amend your reservation accordingly.
A. All drivers of the vehicle will need to be present and provide a valid drivers licence and credit card in their own name. Drivers with an overseas licence must provide their country licence, international licence and passport - if the International license held is written in Non-latin characters an official translation Is required. Also, if you have any discounts, coupons, or corporate/government identification they must be presented upon arrival.
A. No, there is no charge for cancellations if the reservations is cancelled one day prior to your pickup date.
A. If you intend to drive the vehicle outside of the state/territory you have collected the car you must inform the location at time of rental.
A. For security purposes of the credit card holder all renters and additional drivers must have a credit card in their own name.
A. To extend your rental, you must contact the location from which the car has been rented. Any changes in your rental may result in a change in rate.
A. Weekly rentals are rentals that occur for 7 consecutive days. Weekend rates, at most locations, apply to rentals that begin after 1200 noon Friday with a return by 1200 noon Monday. Daily rates apply for rentals where the weekly or weekend rates do not apply.
A. In the case that you have an accident, the first thing you should do is contact the police to complete an accident report. Once this has been done contact the location the car was rented from. For breakdown service, check the back of your contract for a phone number to call. If the contact number is not available contact the location where the car was rented from and explain your situation.
A. All upgrades are subject to availability at the time of rental. You should reserve the smaller vehicle and upgrade at the counter if available.
A. Most car rental companies require drivers to be over the age of 25. Some Budget locations have lower minimum age requirements, such as 21-25, which may incur a surcharge. These minimum age requirements may also restrict the types of vehicles you will be able to rent from Budget. Please visit www.budget.com.au or contact your rental location for full details.
A. There are no surcharges for additional drivers who meet Budget’s minimum age and licence requirements.
A. To help control liability and insurance costs, several major car rental companies, including Budget, screen for high-risk drivers. Budget may ask potential renters a variety of questions regarding their personal driving records. Whenever a prospective renter's driving history fails to meet a company's established criteria, the company can deny rental service.
