A. The rental charge for a Portable GPS Navigation unit is $10.95 per day (incl. GST) and $54.95 per week (incl. GST) from all Budget locations that offer this service in Australia.

How do I reserve a Portable GPS Navigation unit?

A. It's easy to reserve a Portable GPS Navigation unit when you book a car on www.budget.com.au. If a unit is available at your preferred rental location you will see a 'Portable GPS Navigation unit’ selection option on step 3 of the reservation process. If you already have a reservation, simply visit www.budget.com.au and modify your reservation to add the Portable GPS Navigation unit option. If the option isn't available at your rental location, you won’t see it as a selection on step 3 of the reservation process.

Where can I return my GPS unit? Can I use it for one-way rentals?

A. The Portable GPS Navigation unit must always stay with you during the rental period. So it needs to be returned to the original rental location UNLESS you pre-arrange to return both your car and the Portable GPS Navigation unit to a different APPROVED drop-off location. If the unit is dropped off at a location that has not been pre-approved a Portable GPS Navigation unit drop-off charge of $250 plus admin fee, GST and airport concession recovery fee (if applicable) will apply to the rental in addition to any one-way charge that may apply for the rental of the vehicle.

What happens if my Portable GPS Navigation unit is lost, stolen or damaged?

A. The charge for a lost, stolen or any damage to the Unit is $300 plus admin fee, GST and airport concession recovery fee (if applicable). To minimise the chance of having the unit lost whilst in your possession, we recommend that the unit is never left unattended in the vehicle – take it with you!

What do I do if the Portable GPS Navigation unit asks me for a PIN code?

A. If the Portable GPS Navigation unit prompts you to enter a PIN code into the device, just locate the vehicle rental documentation you received from the rental customer service representative. The PIN code is located on the rental agreement document in the left-hand column.

Where do I find my PIN code?

A. You'll find the PIN on your Rental Agreement in the left-hand column labelled "GPS PIN". Enter the PIN code into the device and it will work properly. If the PIN code can't be located on the Rental Agreement, please call the rental location on the number listed on your Rental Agreement to obtain your code.
