Fastbreak Service

Fastbreak Pick up: Proceed to the Budget Fastbreak line or Budget rental counter. Present your driver licence and receive your rental agreement and keys. Fastbreak Return: Park the vehicle and lock it. If a return agent is not available in the rental car park, proceed to the rental counter/office with your vehicle keys, mileage and fuel level. You can access your receipt online within 72 hours of returning your vehicle.

General Directions

COUNTER: Located in airport terminal. CARS: Vehicles are outside the terminals. RETURNS: Same as pick-up. AFTER-HOURS RETURNS: Drop box is available at counter inside the terminal - accessible during airport opening hours only.

Budget Emerald Airport Car Rental

Considered the gateway to the Central Highlands, this small city lies along the banks of the Nogoa River, 170 km west of Rockhampton and 190 km to the coast. The airport is 6 km south of town and provides service to Brisbane by QantasLink and Virgin Australia. There is a Budget Rent a Car located within the airport terminal.

Explore Things to Do and See in Emerald

The Emerald Botanic Gardens are along Capricorn Highway, not far in the Budget car hire, you can take a nice stroll and explore this tropical garden. In Morton Park you will find the largest Van Gogh Sunflower painting in the world and adjacent to this you will find the Central Highlands Visitor Centre.

A short drive in the Budget rental car will bring you to Fairburn Dam, holding back the Nogoa River creating Lake Maraboon, Queensland’s second largest lake. This lake is prime location for boating, fishing and other water sports, as well as providing irrigation for the cotton and citrus growers. When it is full, the Lake holds more water than Sydney Harbour.

The Gemfields are 45 minutes west of Emerald, here you can visit Sapphire and see the Sapphire Gemfields.
