Located on the coast where the Hunter River meets the sea Newcastle City is the second oldest city in Australia. It is 150 km to the north of Sydney and is a bit smaller in size but offers many of the same attractions, super beaches, great climate and attractions both historical and current. In addition Newcastle a very busy port, it is the largest coal exporting harbour in the world. When you arrive you will want to get a vehicle at Budget Rent a Car in order to see everything available in the area.

Nearby is the Blackbutt Reserve, a fabulous place to walk, see the animals, and you can actually pet a koala! They also have a beautiful park with great green space along with a lake, a playground and picnic facilities, everything is recently improved.
