One of the first things that you should do when you arrive in Bundoora is head to Bundoora Park and take the Mt. Cooper scenic drive, in your car hire. With the peak being 137 metres above sea level, Mt Cooper is the highest point in the metropolitan area. The Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is another “must see” when visiting the area. This 1899 Queen Anne style Federation mansion functions as a historical house, art gallery and cafe. The art gallery houses contemporary visual arts and craft exhibits. Here you can find various educational programs, workshops and events. After spending some time looking around the gallery stop by the cafe, located among the heritage gardens in the drawing room, for its seasonal menu with fresh market produce. There are 40 off street parking spaces, for your rental car, located on Prospect Hill Drive.

For a taste of local produce and style, visit the Kingsbury Drive Community Market, Community, La Trobe University. Here you will find more than 100 stalls offering fresh produce, new and old trinckets, fresh foods and even home made products.
