Dating back as far as 1956, the Lunar Drive-In Theatre in Dandenong certainly embodies the old-school tradition. Jericho Drive-In opened in 1969 and has maintained its early day structure being the smallest drive-in theatre in the southern hemisphere, with a capacity of just 36 cars. It is only open one day a month, on the third Saturday of each month. The modest size of the drive-in perfectly suits the compact Suzuki Swift, available for hire from Budget Australia.
